An Adventure Among Sandstone Canyons

Towering sandstone walls, hidden side canyons, and miles of open water made Lake Powell the perfect proving ground for the Chinook (and other packraft models). On a recent multi-day adventure, Jeremiah Watt set out to explore one of the Southwest’s most iconic landscapes, navigating winding canyon corridors and remote shoreline camps that are only accessible by boat.

These photos capture the essence of the trip—early morning reflections, expansive desert scenery, fun swimming and the freedom that comes from traveling beyond the reach of roads, houseboats and people. The Chinook's efficiency and cargo capacity made it an ideal companion for covering distance while carrying the gear needed for this multi-day exploration.
