Maintenance and Care
Our packrafts are designed for people who are hard on gear. Very little is needed to keep your packraft in good shape from year to year. However, simple preventative care will lengthen its life and keep it working well for you on the river.

Instructional Courses and Swiftwater Safety
Alpacka Raft strongly recommends taking a packrafting course—especially if you’re new to paddlesports. Swiftwater safety training is valuable for paddlers at any experience level. Look for a course near you, or consider planning your next trip around a course in an exciting destination.

Returns and Exchanges
Our packrafts are built to order. This means we build the boat specific to your order specifications. After you place your order – if you want to change anything about your packraft (color, deck option, cargo fly, etc.), your boat will be restarted in our production system. For standard boat orders, modifications and cancellations are subject to the following:
- Within 30 days of receipt: Exchange or returns accepted minus a $100 restocking fee (shipping not included in either option). Custom Lab boats are not refundable, or exchangeable.
- 30+ days: No returns or exchanges on packrafts.
- Missing or Incorrect Items: You must notify us of any missing or incorrect items in your package within 30 days of receiving your order.
Packrafting Safety
Alpacka Raft highly recommends taking a packrafting instructional course, especially if you are new to paddlesports. All river enthusiasts, both new and experienced, can benefit from swiftwater safety instruction. Find a course near you, or plan your upcoming travel around a course in a global destination you’d like to visit!
