Description

7-liter modular hip pack that integrates into the back band of your packraft (compatible with pre and post 2023 models). Can be worn as a hip pack or sling with the included removable 1" webbing strap, or can be worn from shoulder straps as a waist pack on a fully loaded expedition pack.

For pre-2023 models, by girth hitching the included snap hook around the back band "D" ring, the pack can be quickly attached and detached from the shock cord, making it easy to access even on a decked boat.

Constructed with Challenge Sailcloth Ecopak EPX200 for an optimum blend of weight and durability.

#5 YKK Vislon Zipper. The Vislon molded tooth zipper outperforms typical coil zippers in wet and muddy environments.

Specifications

Volume: 6 liters
Weight: 3.8oz in EPX200 fabric, optional included hip belt is an additional 1.2 oz
Dimensions: 4.5 inches from the back band to the tube of the boat.  7 inches tall, 14 inches wide

Installation

The seat bag is designed to connect to your Alpacka Raft back band at three points. The primary connection is the small webbing loop on the top center of the bag. The stabilizing strap from your backband passes through this loop with a buckle. If your boat was manufactured before 2023, and uses shock-cord to stabilize the back band, you will need to use the included snap hook and girth hitch it to the D ring, which then allows a quick release attachment to the shock-cord.

The other two connection points are slik clips which connect to the 1” webbing on the sides of the back band. All 3 connections should be used while the seat bag is installed in the boat.

The optional included webbing strap should be stowed safely away while the bag is attached to the boat. It connects to the side slik clips for hiking away from the boat
